With so many distractions these days, I think it’s amazing that you are taking time out to see if the therapy I provide may align with your needs. While I think it is essential to find a therapist that you connect with, I also think it is essential to find a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe with. I’d like to share a little about myself in order to give you a better understanding of who I am as a professional therapist. I served nine plus years in the United States Navy as an enlisted service member. I received my B.A. from Colombia College. I completed my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am also a registered nurse and I am currently completing my terminal degree in psychiatric nursing. I plan to offer psychiatric medication management in the future. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialty in trauma therapy. I am a certified EMDR therapist as well as an EMDR consultant in training (CIT) for therapists wanting to become certified in EDMR! I have also completed the level 3 practicum training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilize these skills in my work with clients who have interpersonal dysfunction. I have experience with children, relationships, marriage, trauma, substance abuse/dependency, mood and personality disorders. I have experience in both state facilities and private practice settings. Emotional, behavioral and cognitive health is my passion and there is nothing else on this planet I’d rather do as a career. It is my honor to service those who are in search of an emotional evolution.
